Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is hosting Tablescape Thursday. Click the link to take you her blog and other tablescapes.
I didn't set out to do a tablescape. My DH and I to a walk around a lake at a nearby nature preserve. We packed a picnic and, of course, I had my camera with me. Some friends of ours gave us this backpack picnic "basket" as a wedding gift. We use it a lot. One compartment has the plates, utensils, tablecloth, napkins, glasses, cutting board, corkscrew, even little salt and pepper shakers.
Another compartment holds the food. We just picked up a hoagie, grapes and chips at the supermarket.
There is even a small outer pocket for our water bottles. If we were so inclined, there is a holder for a bottle of wine which attaches to the side.
We carried this to where a small picnic pavillion was located with four picnic tables and had our lunch.

Cute post! I've been away from the house all day so won't get a Tablescape posted this week. Thanks for sharing this one. ~ Sarah
Oh how nice -- this looks like a most enjoyable picnic.
Karen, this is awesome. I love the idea. Especially the purchased food. Mmmm. no food prep. Makes me happy. The table looks so nice.
Hugs, Jeanne
How neat! I've never seen a backpack like this!
Unique tablescape! Looks fun!

what a neat little date! Backpack comes in very handy...nicely packing all of your needs. You just get the yummies. It's a wonderful opportunity to have a place to go and do that.
What a fabulous backpack. I love the idea of being able to just put a light lunch inside and take a nice walk and stop and enjoy all the wonderful scenery. Great item to have. Hugs, Marty
Well isn't that clever!
Sounds like a great break to me. :)

That's a wonderful thing to have, Karen! Your tablescape reminds me of the quote,"A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou!" How romantic to picnic with your hubby. Sounds like a plan!

Hi Karen!
Neat ideas.... what fun... a picnic-- perfect for the holiday!
love, kelee
Nice tablescape! Hiking picnics are such fun and the food always tastes extra good because of the hunger that has built up.
I have a picnic basket that is similar---but not at all convenient to carry!!
They sure make picnic "baskets" more functional and easier to carry than they used to! Great idea. laurie
Great picnic tablescape!!! I love those picnic back packs. I've always wanted one, but then we never go on picnics.
Love that backpack! Looks like you and DH had a wonderful time at the lake.
