Autumn Roadtrip

This past weekend, we had to go to upstate New York to attend the funeral of my husband's uncle. It gave us an opportunity to visit all the family. He was a veteran and had a military funeral. It was very impressive.

The following day we took the dog for a walk at Otsiningo Park. It is a county park in Broome County, near Binghamton, NY. It sure was a beautiful fall day.
These trees haven't turned color yet, but the geese seem happy.
I enjoy looking at the geese, but they leave a lot of goose poop to walk around. lol

On Sunday, we went to a fall festival at Sky Lake, a Methodist retreat. The leaves were at their peak here.

I love how the colored leaves are reflected in the water.

The colored leaves are a lot further along here than in Pennsylvania.

We watched some folks make apple cider.

There were crafts, food and music, too. This pretty bird sure could talk up a storm.

We left to go back home on Monday. On the way back, we stopped so I could take a shot of this railroad bridge.

Beautiful photos! I love the geese. (I have parrots next door...and wild parrots flying overhead most days. They're the relatives of "runaways" from Sunken Gardens, a botanical garden in St. Petersburg, FL.

What a beautiful place to visit. You did a great job with the photos. You are right, the leaves here in Pa. are not as far along...they are starting to turn pretty fast now. I think we had a light frost yesterday and that will get them going faster.

I have never been to Rickets Glen, never heard of it. It must be someplace near you.

Hi Karen, I love looking at all of your great shots and the beauty that surrounds us..

Don't feed the geese!! My husband took out little grands to a park to feed the ducks and they were attacked by the ducks and seagulls..they threw the bread on the ground and ran for cover..

Sorry to hear about your husband's loss. Even though the trip came about because of a sad occasion, it looks like you made the most of it.

I love the photos of the geese and parrot! We have flocks of Monk a/k/a Quaker parrots in my area. They can be quite noisy but I love hearing and watching them.

Thank you for the tour!

The leaves don't change color here in Las Vegas so I really enjoyed your photos of all the beautiful trees.
