Alan Grant Poem

I would like to thank Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays. You must click on the link to take you to other spiritual posts. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;

I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.

"Why doesn't God help me? I wondered.

He answered, "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on gray and bleak.

I wondered why God didn't show me;

He said, "But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock.

God gently and lovingly childed, "My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day.

I had so much to accomplish, I had to take time to pray.

Amen to this, how true it is..I had a hard day yesterday, and this morning I made sure I prayed before my feet hit the ground. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Debbie

So true! I keep hearing His words that this is the day He's made and is the day in which we should rejoice and be glad! :-)

Isn't it amazing how much smoother the day goes if we take time to pray? Thank you for this reminder. In today's busy world, it is easy to forget and we all need to be reminded from time to time.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week.

Thank you for posting this poem.
I love it and it seems you are the only place on the Web in which it is located!

I am trying to find some write-up on Alan Grant, the author of the poem. Do you know anything about him? I would like to give him a little more credit than just his name tag to the poem when I post it.

You may email me at gram_pam@comcast.net.

Warm & fuzzy hugs,
Pam
