Karen now that was fun girl...loved the song...Oh Yes I even slaped my knee ha ha!! May you have a great BBQ weekend my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
That was cute, Karen. But it's clear to me those boys have never been outside North Carolina! ;-) If they "knowed" their history, they'd know that the only Southern capital that didn't fall during the Uncivil War was Tallahassee, and in football, they'll be claiming us when Florida wins the SEC Championship. LOL! ;-) They like to tease us, but Florida is in the South and has one of the best BBQ restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to try... Peebles in Auburndale. Great sticky sauce that is SO killer good!
The BBQ I love best is from Memphis, and it is dry. There's a restaurant called The Rendevous that has the best BBQ I've ever eaten, and it's fixed with that dry sauce. It is divine, and it wins my vote hands down. Then Peebles comes in next!
What a fun post! Just last weekend we went to a great restaurant that serves really authentic American BBQ food. It's called Bluesmoke and an American guy owns it. We had pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, potato salad, creamed spinach, ribs and I had a glass of white zinfandel form California. They even serve pumpkin pie for desert but we couldn't fit it in. Nest time we will for sure! Best wishes, Natasha.
Karen-how fun and how true. I am from "dry rub country" and people here think BBQ was invented here :) Sheila love my favorite place too (the Rendevous) Thanks for posting the button!
Just found this post today and LOVED the BBQ song. Thanks so much for the entertainment! I love BBQ...and I am partial to the NC kind like the members in the band. Very cute!

Oh how fun! I have to agree about that vinegar based bbq -- it's the one I love the best!
KC BBQ is the best! What a clever post!
