A Cloche Party

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is Having a Cloche Party. Click the link to go see what other bloggers are displaying in their cloches.

I purchased this dome and stand at a thrift shop. I believe it once held an anniversary clock. I found the crystal knob at a yard sale for 10 cents. A dab of Gorilla Glue and I have a cloche. I display it on my end table in my living room. I found the little perched ceramic bird at a thrift store.

This was purchased at Ross on the clearance shelf. It was missing the post. When I was given the sales receipt, I saw that it was identified as a cupcake holder. I set it on a post I had to give it the elevation.

Inside is a candle in the ceramic container with lid. I think it is cupcakeish.

This is a cheese dome I got at a thrift shop. I place it on a glass plate I already have. I am displaying a fake bird nest.

Do apothecary jars count? A little salt for a base and a sea shell.

I have only had these for a few months, so I have not had the opportunity to change it out seasonally.

Here are some photos I found on the internet that have inspired me.

I think you were MOST inventive gluing a glass knob onto the dome! Putting that ornamental candle holder under the lid is cute- and yes, it does look like a cupcake! The most special is the single shell in the sand. :-) Sue

Now that is really creative to glue the know onto the top of the dome. Really clever. I love all of your displays. The little cupcake holder with the little ornamental candle is so cute and the one single shell is stunning. Love it. Birdnests are always such fun to look at. Your pics from the internet are great too, but I really like yours. Thanks so much for participating. Love it. Hugs, Marty

Karen, Long time no chat! I love your cloches! You did a very nice job finding unique ones...and each one has a story behind it. Those are my favorites...with stories! :) ~CC Catherine PS: The Gorilla Glue share was really something new for me, I didn't know that was possible. I would have never known it didn't come like that! GREAT SHARE! :)

I've seen those anniversary clock holders at sales -- didn't think outside the box that it was really a cloche -- great idea. All of your cloches are great.

I noticed the notched knob right off the bat on the first dome and was really impressed when I read you had added that--very clever!! The cheese ball clothe is darling with the little nest and shiny eggs. All of your cloches were lovely....just as wonderful as your "inspiration" photos. Dana

Very smart to glue the ball on the dome.... I like the groupings of themed cloches. I didn't join the party, but I am being inspired to change mine out a bit as I view everyones photos.
