Foodie Friday - Apple Walnut Pan Cake

Michael at Designs by Gollum is hosting Foodie Friday. Click on the link to see what other yummy things other bloggers have created.

This is one of the easiest cake you will ever make. I have been making this for 35 years. You don't need a mixing bowl. It is very moist and doesn't need frosting.
Ingredients:
1 20 oz. can apple pie filling
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350.

Dump apple pie filling into 9x13 pan.

Combine dry ingredients and sprinkle over apples.

Mix eggs, oil and nuts. Pour this over flour/apple mixture.

Stir until blended.

Bake 40-50 minutes.

This is good served with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Today on my blog, I actually asked the question "are there enough apple desserts to make a different one every day of winter?" and so far I have found about 10 new ones, including yours. Thanks!

This sounds delicious! I've seen a similar recipe, but to use a cake mix instead, yours is probably better!
