3-15 Spiritual Sunday

Thank you Ginger and Charlotte for hosting Spiritual Sundays. Visit their blog for other spiritual inspirations.

After a heavy snowstorm, when everything was covered with snow, sticking out of one snowbank was a dried up weed. A little bird was hopping all around it. The bird stopped, turn its back to the weed, and whacked against it with its tail until some seeds fell to the surface of the snow. Then the bird turned around and began to eat the seeds.

The Creator provided for the bird in the aftermath of the snowstorm. The bird's creator and mine, who, according to the psalmist, gives food to every creature. Sustenance is only one of the many evidences of God's enduring love.

Signs of God's love are all around us in the natural world.

Hi Karen!
What a lovely story of how God provides for us all even for the little birds, how sweet that must have been to see the bird hitting the weed with its tail in order for the seeds to fall for it to eat. God is amazing!!
Thank you for sharing this illustration.
God bless & keep you

The Lord even brings birds for entertainment. I have to share I was setting in car of parking lot waiting and a Seagull swooped down and landed. The Seagull looked around and then gobled up a piece of bread from a fast food bun as there is a Burger King near by. I had to chuckle -- that even birds have fast food lunches! :o) And that bird is smarter than humans as it left the french fries on the ground. Thought that was interesting! Anyway, God Bless!

What a wonderful example of God's caring for his creatures. The Bible tells us that we are more important than the birds and if he cares for them (which he does) he will certainly care for us.
Thank you for sharing on Spiritual Sundays.
Have a great day.
