Inspirational Wall Plaque

Thank you Ginger and Charlotte for hosting Spiritual Sundays. Check out their blog for more.

I lost my home and almost everything I owned in a fire a number of years ago. As bad as that was something wonderful came out of it. I realized that I was shown kindness, support and encouragement, not only by my friends, but casual acquaintances and strangers as well.

The first thing I purchased for my new home was a wall plaque. It is a brass plaque on walnut which says:

LORD

help me to remember

that nothing is going to

happen to me today

that you and I together

can't handle.

I still have that plaque hanging in my home and I have found the words to be true.

P.S. Go Steelers

Very inspiring. Thanks for the reminder. There are so many days when I get to thinking that "I'm going it alone." I'll try to remember the encouraging words on your wall.

How wonderful God uses every situation to show us Himself and most often that is through others. Sorry for your loss and happy for your discovery of support and encouragment comes from places we never imagine.

Go go steelers for 2.

We have that same saying on our wall - actually a handmade one. What a blessing to remember those words.

Thank you for your post. I am sorry you had to go through such a loss. I just know that Jesus feels our hurts and that He won't waste them. He will use them for His glory and for blessing on His people, including ourselves. I can't imagine the feelings that would accompany a fire. I am thankful He has proven Himself faithful to you.

I thought I was registering for SS but I think my name was added to last weeks list. I do look forward to getting to know more believers through these blogs.
