Mens Retreat

Susan at A Southern Daydreamer is hosting Outdoor Wednesday. Click the link to view other outdoor posts.

Our church held a winter retreat for the men. The men spent one afternoon walking in the woods on the grounds of a local church camp.

A beautiful stream. This is how they crossed it.
At the top of the mountain, there was time for meditation and reflection.
Jumping for joy.Brr, it was so cold the lake is almost frozen over.
Then it snowed.

  3. Hi Karen,
What a beautiful place for men to have a retreat, I loved the bridge. But if I had to cross it I would probably have to crawl. LOL
    Thank you for sharing.

  4. Is that at Wesley? If it is our fifth grade class stayed there for a school campout. It was great.

  5. Karen, these are some beautiful shots. What a fun trip these men had and a perfect place to get away and think about the Lord.

I have to confess that the sight of the man jumping scared me a little. What was he doing? Where was he jumping? He looked awfully close to the edge to be doing that, but I know there must be more to the story than meets the eye.

    XO,

  6. Brr, too cold for me. It'd be a gorgeous spot for a retreat, though, if indoor, looking out. Sorry, but I'm a Floridian!

  13. Was he jumping into the water? Brrrr! Great pictures. I might have had to stay alone on the other side of the lake rather than cross that bridge! laurie
