Our church held a winter retreat for the men. The men spent one afternoon walking in the woods on the grounds of a local church camp.

At the top of the mountain, there was time for meditation and reflection.

Jumping for joy.

Brr, it was so cold the lake is almost frozen over.

Then it snowed.
...and a little trepidation thrown in!!! Beautiful shots. That bridge looks like a challenge. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNo way would I walk on that bridge! He did not jump in the frozen lake did he?
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place for men to have a retreat, I loved the bridge. But if I had to cross it I would probably have to crawl. LOL
Thank you for sharing.

Is that at Wesley? If it is our fifth grade class stayed there for a school campout. It was great.

Karen, these are some beautiful shots. What a fun trip these men had and a perfect place to get away and think about the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI have to confess that the sight of the man jumping scared me a little. What was he doing? Where was he jumping? He looked awfully close to the edge to be doing that, but I know there must be more to the story than meets the eye.
XO,

Brr, too cold for me. It'd be a gorgeous spot for a retreat, though, if indoor, looking out. Sorry, but I'm a Floridian!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot for this retreat and marvelous photos of the event!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Gorgeous and peaceful relaxation. A Men's Retreat sounds perfect right now for my husband! That bridge is awesome too.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos. It was a perfect spot for a men's retreat. I hope you are having a wonderful Outdoor Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteNo, I couldn't do that bridge! It looks so cold there already!
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn a coat yet!
Great pics!
Breathtaking scenery, this really is the perfect spot for a retreat. But that bridge gives me the heebie jeebies! And snow??? Yikes, I've just now broken down and put most of my flip flops away. Thanks for sharing these. Kathy
ReplyDeleteOh my! Beautiful pictures, but I would have had to stop at the bridge --- no sir -- I don't like scary looking bridges!!!!
ReplyDeleteWas he jumping into the water? Brrrr! Great pictures. I might have had to stay alone on the other side of the lake rather than cross that bridge! laurie
ReplyDeleteSeeing the snow scares me... JK
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Looks like a fabulous retreat. Love the bridge.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing it with us.
