I have a white damask tablecloth, layered with a square tablecloth embroidered with pretty spring flowers. The centerpiece is little bunnies in a bowl, flanked with brass and crystal hurricane candle sticks, I got at a yard sale for $2.00 for the pair years ago.
My mother gave me the china for Christmas one year. This set is my regular "good" dishes. It is labeled Imperial China, W Dalton, Seville. I love the dainty blue flowers. Oneida 18/8 flatware and soft blue napkins complete the setting.
For the photo, I included salad bowls, with the dinner plates and bread plates.
I can remember my grandmother keeping a bowl of spoons on her table at all times. This is an antique spoon holder I inherited from my mother. I think she inherited it from her sister.
Here we are with a wonderful rib roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans with almonds, rolls, and a glass of red. Apple pie ala mode was served for dessert. Yum.
The tablesetting is so elegant. I love how all the creams, whites and blue are just so soft. The menu look absolutely delicious also. Very stunning. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteKaren, the glass rounds we had made from a large glass that we had custom cut for our dining room table. We decided we no longer wanted a glass table top on the table full time because the weight of it was creating the center to be too stressed. So, we took it to the glassmasters that custom cut it and had them make smaller ones for end tables., and when I need them, I take them and use them for the ctrpiece. The largest one came with a small breakfast table... You can purchase small rounds at hobby lobby for the small accent tables., they're not too pricy, but they're not the heaviest either. Keep your eye out at yardsales, you may be able to pick some up here and there. ~CC Catherine ;)

Karen, you are so right The Walk and Tres Dias are both life changing! I made Tres Dias in North Georgia # 34 many years ago. I was just asked to work one in August :) My older girls have also made a VN weekend (the one for teens) They loved it and also work VN's when they can.
