My Spray Painted Chicken Dish

I have just recently discovered spray paint. Can you believe it? I purchased this really ugly hand painted ceramic chicken dish. I though that I liked the idea of it being a chicken dish, but not with the garish red. It was only $1.31 at the thrift shop. Then I remembered Kimba and her spray painted dishes.

Before:

I got a can of soft yellow Valspar spray paint at Lowes. I applied many light coats instead on one heavy coat. I was afraid of drips. I think it turned out real well.
After:
I'll use it to serve a tub of margarine.

    I am just amazed at this. I am seeing several posts today, about spray painting glass or china -- something I never would have thought about doing. The results are enchanting. It's amazing, really. What fun!

    Love the yellow!

    Regarding the foam core picture of three ladies on my blog, I didn't sew through the foam core, I stretched fabric around to the back and secured it, then stitched a rectangle of fabric over the back to finish it off. The picture hangs from two plastic rings that I stitched to the backing. :)
